  April 1, 2024 - Active decant and in fridge for 6 hours. With lamb chops, roasted veggies, and chimichuri sauce
  
  Did its job. But too much decanting...and faded towards the end. I think ready to go with much less airtime

  December 9, 2023 - Notes after 6 hours open and two glasses consumed. Medium ruby color, about 70% opaque with no sediment. Hi-toned (alcohol) spicy nose with ripe red berries and light oak. A touch sweet, with primary flavors of blackberry, cherry, and strawberry, but nice underlying notes of plum and fig. The acidity is fundamental in keeping this from being flabby. The flavors are persistent and continuing to expand with air time. The tannins started off rough but eventually blended into a nice silk. Better days ahead, me thinks.

  February 6, 2023 - Young purple color. Nose with dark fruits and very distinct blackberry and boysenberry notes and an undertone of raspberries. Some spiciness, violet flowers, and little tobacco. Palate is ripe, very slight touch of acidity, pretty simple and straightforward litany of red fruits and somewhat cheap feeling tannins. Finishes medium and straight forward with loads of chocolate at the end.
  Very much worth the price for a Tuesday-night Cab, it drinks well already and might slightly improve over time, but really it's nothing that blows your socks off.

  July 20, 2022 - With steak and roast potatoes...mushroom sauce and horseradish sauce for each. Decanter and in fridge for 4 hours
  Delightful with food. Balanced, solid finish - just a good complement to the food
  Final glass ... post dinner by itself ... a bit tannic. I.e great food wine with some decant
