February 18, 2024 - This was absolutely phenomenal but needed a good 4-6h to fully open.

Beautiful underripe orchard fruit, bright acidity, lovely texture and balance. Kiss of oak that integrates more with being open. Tons of complexity here despite being so young. This should cruise for 10-15 years in the cellar.

Seth may have ruffled some feathers with the price hike of the 22 vintage, but based on what's in the glass it is hard to blame him.

    February 18, 2024 - Glassware: Glassvin
    Prep: 4 hour decant

Brought to Rohit B’s place to prove you shouldn’t overlook 2020 as a vintage for WV chardonnay. Absolutely gorgeous wine that showed itself very well after 4 hours of air. Gentle reductive nose of lime peel, pear, hazelnut, cardamom, and saffron. On the palate there is a beautiful purity of delicate, underripe orchard fruit that is expansive on the palate, supported by chalky/wet stone minerality that provides a gentle grip and carries the fruit over a long finish. The refreshing acidity, dry extract, and some oak tannin influence are well balanced on the palate and provide excellent structure, brightness, and lift to the wine. Fine, fine juice that I’m sure will age gracefully.

September 28, 2023 - Durant comes across a touch more toward orchard fruit than other 20s on the nose but a bit more depth and complexity. More pronounced raw nut and fresh cream, along with lime zest. Palate leans more citrus with fantastic depth. Needed 2 hours of air to fully find itself and drinking much better closer to cellar temp.

December 23, 2022 - Pale gold with green tint. Lemon, almond and minerality. Nose was subdued. Wine felt rounded and yet elegant. Medium long finish.

November 11, 2022 - Tasting with Seth Morgen.

Bright asian pear, florals and stones on the nose. It is more overt and broader following the X-Omni. Power and grace. A pretty cohesive wine.
