April 14, 2024 - Franchetti vertical tasting, wine #2. Made from a blend of 60% PV and 40% Cesanese d’Affile, grown in contrada Guardiola at 820 meters of altitude, aged for 6 months in FR oak and 12 months in cement vats. Opaque ruby colour. Pronounced fragrant aroma of violets, sweet briar, roses, blackberries, herbal and smoky hints. Full body, slightly less concentrated and with a bit grippier but still grainy fine tannins than 2021. However still deeply textural, silky and nearly creamy with lush deep black fruit flavours.
