July 24, 2011 - Impressive nose with berries and Cassis and a hint of floral ttle uncomfortable smokiness The tannins are non existent and no finish. This was recommended to me as a good wine for $10 but i think that there are plenty of better choices at that price point.

February 28, 2009 - {ST} When you have a bunch of notes from tasters that basically say "meh", the message is pretty clear. Purplish red in the glass, medium body, clear. Nose of overripe black cherry plus sweetened jam, a little interesting funk as from decomposing leaves, and oak. On the swish there are some globs of berries and cherry mash. Distinct oak tones stretching through the finish. Low acid, low tannins, low complexity, soft mouthfeel. This wine sets the bar very low for itself, and I'm not stepping over it, even if it is just 10 bucks.

November 24, 2008 - Opened and tasted. A watermelon jolly rancher nose--not good. More jolly rancher on the palate with some cherry and minimal tobacco notes. Glad this is my last bottle.

November 9, 2008 - Decanted for 3 hours. A little Barnyard, Cherry and Plum on the nose...something vegetative as well, My wife said green beans and that is pretty close. Simple flavor profile. Sour Cherry, some berries. At 10 bucks its a pazz, but I have 2 more bottles to go. I will wait 6 months or so and see if I change my mind.
