January 6, 2020 - This seemed to be past its prime. It still had some body at opening but it went quickly. Drink up.

June 25, 2017 - more on the red fruit side. raspberry even cranberry, sour cherry. pretty straight forward but balanced and good.

June 20, 2011 - This wine straddles the fence between Excellent and Outstanding. If you're just drinking it w/o food, it would not rate above 88, but with food (especially pasta) this wine shines (90+). It pulls the flavors out of the food and complements them extremely well. Good buy.

January 15, 2011 - Dark red color, starts to get bricky at rim. Seems mature. Very nice legs. Firm smell, a little closed (but bottle just opened) clear black berries, maybe a hint of blackcurrant (the Cabernet S) but clearly in the background. Smooth at the start, quite sweet and warm in the middle part, and a decent/long after taste. A very nice wine, mature now and will not improve significantly in the future. My last bottle - looking forward to the next glass.
