Community Tasting Notes 22

October 5, 2011 - Deep blood red / plum color. Interesting nose of black fruit, smoky chocolate, and grape skittles. Quality black and blue fruit on entry with some earthy mocha flavors on the back end. Biggest issue with this wine is that the tannins are hardly noticeable.. needs more structure.

March 29, 2011 - Real nice nose. A not-so-aggressive shiraz. enjoyed the soft mouth feel. Drink up if you have it, I don't see it improving. Give it air.

December 23, 2010 - Better bottle than previous, showing more range of fruit, including blackberry compote and raspberry. Benefited from a 30-minute decant.

December 10, 2010 - Solid value wine. Sweet, delicate purple fruits, slightly thin, good mouthfeel. It lacks structure and richness. Too candy-sweet for my taste, and not enough depth of fruit, without typical earthy and chocolate nuances of better Shiraz.

June 21, 2010 - Bought three bottles, enjoyed two very much. Too long ago for detailed notes. Approachable, complex shiraz.
