March 8, 2024 - Appearance: deep crimson like red core with bright red hues. Semi traluscent, med-bodied. Med viscosity
Nose: lovely aromas for red fruits: lots of strawberries, raspberries , sour cherries with some earthy notes
Palate: give this bottle a short decant to get the full flavours. First sip after 10 min decant was rich intense notes of young strawberries, raspberries with tart sour cherries lingering above. Bit of alcohol heat near the finish so tastes but spicy. However this spice tones down after decanting for > 30 min. Tannins are plush and abundant (but not overly so). Acidity is med+ and finish is very long. Def more fruit forward, not too stalky or savoury. Surprisingly complex for a wine at this price. Can cellar for at least 5-8 years. This wine speaks more than what the eye sees.

Def recommend to stock up on this vintage!

December 15, 2023 - More of a pop and pour. Aromas of strawberry, cranberry, mushroom, earth and hint of cherry. Flavors of strawberry, rhubarb, cranberry, cherry and earth. Ends with 25+ seconds with cherry and strawberry notes.

November 18, 2023 - Next up at the 33rd virtual tasting was this lovely Pinot. I drank this a few months ago at a birthday dinner and loved it, hence the re-taste for our group. It's a pale garnet color with medium viscosity (13.5% ABV). Medium (+) intensity aromas of strawberry kick things off followed by barnyard funk, cranberry, strawberry, strawberry shortcake and 'cardboard box filled with cherries' from one of the tasters. On the palate it is dry with medium (+) acidity and medium (-) tannins. A Medium (-) body carries the delicious cherry, strawberry, baking spice and pomegranate flavors through to a medium length finish. I enjoyed tasting this wine again, perhaps not as much as the first time but gave it 15 points on our sheet and a 92 rating. For $43 it gets 4 stars from me. Drink with lighter meat dishes till 2030. Yummy stuff.

August 12, 2023 - Yesterday was my cousin's birthday so we sailed the Potomac river and ended up in Old Town Alexandria for dinner. I picked this Pinot Noir as I felt it would pair well with the myriad of main dishes that were ordered- Hangar steak, Swordfish etc. It was stunning. I took some very basic notes...

Cherry, baking spices, a touch of forest fooor, red raspberry, med (+) acidity med (-) tannins, medium bodied- 13.5% ABV .....delicious, silky smooth, long finish. 94 points, till 2032. Excellent development potential.

Looking this gem up I see one review as high as 96 points and a $43 price point. RUN, don't walk if you like a delicious Pinot of this caliber.

May 29, 2023 - 89 May 2023 👃 austere, cherry. 👅 Cherry, earthy, a hint of rubber. After some time, a little sour-saltiness as well. Light and refreshing. Simple, nice for a glass or two. Too expensive.
