July 22, 2023 - Solid wine. Decanted two hours but probably wouldn't need it. Classy nose that seems timid relative to the mouthfeel. Surprisingly driven by red fruit with a dominant strawberry note backed by hedgerow fruit (blackberry rather than blackcurrant). There is a very gentle touch of baking spices. Very balanced structure with a medium body and fairly soft medium + tannin.
This would be a great choice for a serious summer BBQ. -
