September 26, 2023 - Pleasantly surprised. Got this is a mystery deal and wasn't expecting much from it. Fresh black fruits on the nose like blackberry, black cherry, cassis, along with restrained spice notes and a hint of pyrazine. The palate was much more classy than I was expecting--it was medium bodied with an unmistakable minerality and sense of place, with good concentration and length. The structure was appropriate and approachable now with a little bit of air. I would recommend drinking now through 2030. Glad I have another.
