February 26, 2023 - Medium ruby in colour. On the nose, it presents delicious ripe red cherry, blueberry, red roses, star anise, vanilla and chocolate. The palate is dry with prominent dark cherry and dark plum fruits with oak spices, then gradually evolve into inky, graphite, green olive and sandalwood. The tannins are medium plus, dusty in texture. The length is medium plus with chocolate notes at the finish.
Overall, it feels like new world Shiraz with blueberry and quality oak. Despite the high alcohol, the wine is still in good balance. Big and bold but without over extraction. 93pts
