April 24, 2021 - Kept in room temperature for quite a while. Still ok but should have been drunk a few years ago because of the not so perfect storage situation. Lots of raisin on the nose and palate. Apricot also.

April 3, 2020 - Appearance: clear, deep amber.
Nose: clean, medium plus intensity; aromas of dried apricot, marmalade, honey, toast, orange peel, vanilla, marzipan, a little nuttiness, ripe pineapple, sultana. It's fully developed.
Palate: sweet, high acidity, medium alcohol, full body, medium plus flavour intensity, smoke comes through on the palate, otherwise aligns with nose. The finish is medium plus as well.
Overall, it's a very good wine. Drink now, not suitable for further ageing. Perfect to pair with blue cheese.

February 26, 2014 - A: Deep amber color. In all honestly, reminds me in look like a nice bourbon.
N: Straight out of the bottle, it is a little tight. Ran my second glass through a Vinturi, and the nose really opened up. The deep notes really open up. Apricot jam, toasted oak and honey.
P: First thing that comes to mind is honey, fresh honey like a farmer's market. The acid comes through nicely in hints of orange marmalade and zest. The apricot hits the mid palate nicely Only 11.5% ABV so not noticeable at all. THere is sweetness, but it is not an overly sweet wine. I think the mix of acidity and residual sugar plays nicely. Very, very smooth.
F: It really does linger for a while. Apricots and peaches stay on the mid palate. Slight hints of nuttiness as it finishes.
Overall: Still a little new to desert wines, but this is fantastic. I bought 4 half bottles right after I tasted this one. Superbly Happy. Somewhere between 93 & 93+. Really happy with this.

August 17, 2013 - Deep gold/copper in colour. Lots of botrytis on nose, with honey, orange marmalade, pineapple, vanilla and tobacco as well. These flavours follow through on the lovely, rich palate, medium to full bodied, and with a long finish. Nice balance of acidity and fruit. Drinking well now, but will last too (A-).
