January 27, 2023 - Had a flight of Chassagne Montrachet of 15 different wine across different vintages and wine maker. Interesting to note that for a group of 8 people, most couldn’t have guess the wine maker, all rather most got it wrong. The WOTN or favorite are quite similar representing the quality of the wine maker. And price point of bottle vis a vis the quality is inequitable.

2020 Bruno Colin Chassagne Montrachet 1er En Cailleret 92
Medium nose intensity with notes of green apple. Medium+ acidity and medium+ length.

2018 Vincent Dancer Chassagne Montrachet 1er Tete Du Clos 95

October 11, 2022 - Tasted blind. I didn’t recognize it as a Chardonnay - it was very dry on the one hand, but fat and oily which drew me to the Loire. Still, ot was well rounded and balanced, I enjoyed it and was surprised when revealed - not the oak-laden wines I’ve seen from this producer to date. Interesting.

May 10, 2020 - Even better than my last bottle. This is showing so well now. On the nose: lemon custard, passion fruit, some honey, marzipan, a touch of smoke, and positively dripping with stony notes. On the palate, the density is amazing: fantastic acidity, loads of stone and lemon, some pepper, passion fruit...honeyed texture, but so rich and vibrant. The finish goes on forever. Happy Mother's day!

February 18, 2020 - 'No Masks' Hong Kong Dinner (Table, 8th Floor, The Pemberton, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong): Nicely gold colour but still freshly jewelled. Nose is too cold but definitely a youthful bottle. Palate has an immediately gorgeous light honeysuckle and acacia honey character with a little bit of lemon and vanilla creme brulee. Really good deceptive length. Resonant and rich. Drop dead gorgeous. Quite feminine for a Criots-BM. The best bottle from my case so far. So fresh and vibrant. It had improved when drank again at the end of the meal 3 -4 hours later but hadn't basically changed character. I scored it mid-point.

November 28, 2019 - Just lovely, and barely hitting peak if this bottle is any indication. Honeysuckle, a touch of vanilla, lemon peel. Fantastic acidity, struck match, sweet match, excellent density. Wow, stunning.
