December 31, 2022 - Enjoyed this bottle of wine, cellaring time was very good, 4 years.

March 10, 2022 - I really wanted to like this wine in its impressive heavy glass (green) bottle and minimalist label. Alas, someone let junior go wild with the oak and pushed the tannins beyond drinkable. Fortunately one doesn't spend too much on this wine. Suckling is on the bottle, a label reading 96 points. 96 points! A complete world beater! Of course, we can shave 40% off any Suckling rating. You might as well show up with an oak whip and subdue the Cabnernet Sauvignon with a violent attack on the beautiful free run juice that was once a wine. 85 is too high a rating - I would have been rapped on the knuckles with a wooden ruler in 3rd grade for abusing the grading system.

January 4, 2022 - Inky dark concentration and medium bodied. Nose of stewed blueberries, blackberries, model glue and cocoa powder. Flavors of concentrated dark fruit with some leather earthiness. Low acid, medium-light viscosity.
Exceptionally smooth but doesn't taste manipulated. Medium length finish.
Label says 15% alcohol but doesn't taste like it. Half a bottle in and I'm barely buzzed.
A little unstructured but knocking on the door of real depth.

December 7, 2021 - The fresh, fragrant nose offers lovely dark red fruited, cassis, currant, earthy, and mineral aromas accented with leafy herbs and whiffs of cocoa powder. On the full-ish bodied palate it is ripe and complex with tangy red and black fruits, currant, blackberry, raspberry, black plum, oak spice, and graphite flavours, all supported by fresh, juicy acidity. The structured and youthful tannins are quite firm and drying at this stage. Lovely graphite and dark berry notes linger on the long-lasting finish.
