  November 20, 2018 - Red fruit (cherry), spice, strong earth, slight oak - well integrated, nice secondary flavor, good acidity. Lingering finish. Really enjoyable

  July 24, 2017 - Doc and Diane, Miami skyline, summertime, Rickie Lee, an outstanding wine. If the taste of warm sweet cherries wasn't so marvelous, we would have just sat around with our noses in our glasses all night. The fruit dominated about two hours in. Savoring lasted long after the last drop.

  February 7, 2012 - Opened for 30' and tasted. Young in color and taste. Still with some of the sharper tannins of the 1996 vintage, but much resolved from my last visit in 2005. Has all the components to continue to evolve for 10-15 years. I firmly believe that when history writes about 1996 Red Burgundy, they will be viewed very favorably but required significant time to reach that perfect balance that Burgundies display so beautifully. A few glasses left in the bottle showed a nice evolution the next evening. A fine example of a MSD.
