  May 30, 2018 - Classicly Coche nose with pretty reduction and white flowers. This is also showing a lovely array of spice notes, of the vanilla, woody, and cinnamon varieties. This is beautiful, fresh, and expressive, but amazingly the projection is rendered quiet by the 2000 d'Auvenay Folatières in the next glass which is absolutely booming. Surprisingly this wine requires a bit of focus to appreciate the details and beauty. Not an over the top reduction show that you might expect.

  March 29, 2018 - Controversial wine, as some loved it and some did not. The vintage is dicey for white wines, but this out-performs the vintage overall. It is quite tasty, but that said it is not a great wine. The finish is concerning - Michael B. referred to it as being the "tallest midget" in its vintage, which I have to say was an inspired thing to say.

  December 10, 2017 - Wine Monuments Man Chapter 3 (Berens am Kai 1 star Restaurant): Anis, Zimtstange (Philipp), angebrannte Bananenschale, weißer Pfeffer (Thomas), Popcorn, Reiskeks, nach 2 Stunden Getreide (Ingo, Thomas). So elegant und dennoch so druckvoll. Das genaue Gegenteil vom DRC Montrachet 2007 (letztes Jahr). Leise wie ein Panther schleicht sich der CD an seine Opfer heran (in diesem Falle wir) und nicht wie ein Löwe, der einem direkt ins Gesicht springt. Beide haben ihre Daseinsberechtigung. Ich bin begeistert. 98+

  December 15, 2016 - After an hours decant, fresh bright and intense. Flinty drive matched with sharp, vivid fruit. Great length and depth. A real wow wine!
