May 23, 2023 - Still tight on the nose and palate. This needs at least an hour in the glass before it opens some of its aromatic expression. There are juicy black fruits, violet, cassis and toasted earthy spices. The oak is overwhelming the finer elements. Full-bodied and edgy for now. A few more years of aging should result in better balance. Finish is tight and chewy.
