January 22, 2024 - Nice bottle. Not one you remember, though. It never fully came out of the glass.

November 30, 2023 - Formerly labeled as "Le Banc," this bottling is still sourced primarily (approximately 80%) from the Le Banc lieu-dit. Ordered from a restaurant's wine list, it was popped, poured and serially tasted over a two-hour period. Limpid and light golden in color, it is immediately aromatically expressive of clementines, white peaches, pears, brioche, honeysuckle and wets stones. Medium-bodied, crisply acidic, seamlessly alcoholic and minimally oaked, it delivers flavors congruent with the aromas and stays dense on the mid-palate. Concluding with a lengthy, energetic finish, this is a terrific village-level white Burgundy that is worthy of a search. Although it will likely get even better with additional cellaring, there is no harm in enjoying it now. Drink now-2030.

April 4, 2023 - This has superb definition and balance with fabulous linear tension. Full of lemons, minerals with a touch of spice and creamy oak. Still very tightly wound at present with a hint of grapefruit coming through on the midpalate. Light on its feet but with more than enough heft to strut its stuff with insouciance and haughty disdain. Should be stunning in 5 years time but at the time of writing this has a unique character which is at once seductive and dismissive. A stunningly crafted wine.

    On day 2:
This has honeyed ever so slightly and has developed some achingly beautiful tropical complexities. It seems more subtle and mellow today yet the rakish freshness of yesterday remains. This dazzling high-wire act of power, elegance, classicism and seemingly effortless invention, and from a relatively humble appellation, appears entirely unique to PYCM. The man is a genius.

January 14, 2023 - Light body. Strong lemon with some slight nuttiness on the nose and palate. Beautiful balance and body. Smooth yet structured. Nice finish. Not many points in the complexity category, but I wouldn’t expect too much at village level and this checks all the other boxes.
