Community Tasting Notes 2

August 22, 2022 - right off the bat this shows caramel and nutty coffee notes on the nose, the tannin is pretty taught but the acid is soft, the body is medium, deep in flavor, showing dark plum, blueberry, cherry and licorice flavors, balanced, youthful, overall a larger style that tastes great and drinks well now, could also benefit from short term aging

April 2, 2022 - Great value. A complex and serious nose. Salted black cherry, but some startling smoke and woodsy notes weaved in (this set it apart from Les Eduens which we tried in parallel). This one arrested me from the first whiff and first taste. I am no Pinot expert but this is one of the more dark expressions of it that I have tasted. Update day 2: still love this, but would dial down the oak (notes say 30-40% new).
