January 13, 2013 - A seamless blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet, Syrah and Merlot. Red-black. Medium-to-full body. Tart cherry, crushed gravel, plum, raspberry and violet aromatics. Palate is tart cherry, currant, fig, licorice, nutmeg, plum, tar, and freshly turned earth. Youthful acidity. Lush tannins. Did I say powerhouse? Victory-lap finish. Benefits with air; but, once opened, hard to resist . . . 13.5% abv. Amazing QPR ($20). Pair with lasagna or polenta. Drink or hold.
