April 22, 2022 - I really like this SB. It's got what I want in the flavour and aroma profile of SB (citrus, slight hints of stone fruit), but lacks what I don't want (cat pee or a big mouthful of cut grass). We tasted and bought several SBs in Alexander Valley, where it does quite well, presumably because it's the warmest part of Sonoma County. This one was my favourite. It's fermented in a combo of neutral oak, and stainless steel and I found an enticing smoothness here that was really enjoyable vs some of the mouth-puckering SBs I've had recently. We coiffed it with some some light local cheese on the patio under a sunny sky - a perfect pairing!
