September 12, 2023 - Don’t really buy these anymore as I drifted away from my perceived modernness of the producer. With that said, while maybe a bit polished, this wa suite delicious. Light bodied, Elegant and moderately complex, with no signs of over ripeness, extraction, or oak. I wish I had more left than I do.

January 23, 2022 - Waft of initial rose then classic tar. Slightly lively palate, over the top of mushrooms and maybe cherries? Finish is a little acidic. Maybe not the most table bottle?

December 25, 2019 - Decanted first about an hour and perfectly open. Fairly soft with a distinct rose nose. Drinking lovely

March 17, 2015 - One of the very best aged Barolos in years. Fruit + finesse, long after taste and all of that with power. Great stuff.

July 23, 2012 - One of the stronger wines I have had from 2000. Fruit seems to be losing it’s luster but there is life in there. Definitely hitting the end of the road and taking on more vegetal and earthy aromas and flavors now.

April 27, 2011 - A bunch of Barolos: Ruby in color, slight browning. The nose is dusty with cherries, iodine, and showing some age. On the palate, complex with cherries, sour cherries and some forest floor. Medium tannins. Long finish. Delicious wine, but for the money I would want more. surprised at how it seems to be ageing.

October 17, 2008 - Dinner to celebrate the arrival of my wines in HK (Crown Wine Cellars): Decanted 4 hours before drinking. Wonderful nose, initially some tar and liquorice then sage and fennel. Palate is good too with some plum. This was really well balanced.

This was still drinking well by the end of the night.

April 8, 2008 - Delicious wine whose tannins appear to be resolved, but who does not, however, possess the bottle age to offer tertiary flavors and the intoxicating nebbiolo aromatics. Rather restrained nose, with a touch of the high alcohol coming through. I don't think I would have pegged this as nebbiolo in a blind tasting. On the palate, it was pure cherry cola. A little modern in style, but definitely outstanding wine.
