March 14, 2024 - Cherries and other fresh fruits like raspberries in the bouquet. Same on the palate, pleasant dose of oak, fresh acidity and slightly sticky tannin. Good length.

March 13, 2024 - Opened in the bottle for a few hours. Honestly I knew it would be good but I was actually shocked by the quality. This is a dead ringer for Allemand or even Rostaing to a lesser extent. Very pure expression with violets, earth, cool dark fruit and mineral. No manipulation or wood treatment evident. Drinks well now but better in ten.

February 19, 2024 - This is very serious, dark fruit, earthy, moss, mineral. Very nice length. No idea why this is drinking so well already, but I thoroughly enjoyed this.

August 15, 2023 - Refined and quite a complex nose and palate, firm tannins and a nice grip with good length.

June 15, 2023 - Eben Sadie Online Tasting. Drank in Gabriel Standart.
Appearance is clear, deep intensity, ruby colour with purple rim. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of rich blackberries, boysenberries, dark plums, black cherries, dark leather, smoke, spices. Developing.
On the palate, dry, gentle high acidity, medium+ alcohol, fine high tannins with good grip, full body. Pronounced flavour intensity, with flavours of fresh dark leather, Syrah meatiness, blackberries, black cherries, dark plums, boysenberries, smoky tobacco, sweet spices. Very long finish.
Very very good quality. Lots of fruit sweetness but held together in a good package. Can see how this complex wine has ambitions to shoot for the stars. Making its way there. Just keeps getting better and better with the new vintages.1 person found this helpful Comments (1)
