June 16, 2013 - Much earthier tones to this wine - mushrooms, forest floor. Surprisingly different from the bottle we drank several years ago but still a very nice wine. A heady nose, layers of flavors on the tongue, but not real long on the finish. Although I had considered it beyond its drinking window, I don't think it was - it had changed but was still good with no indication that it was declining or would decline in the real near future. This was bottle number 680 of 1140 - each bottle was individually numbered on a paper band around the neck of the bottle.

September 18, 2010 - Plums and cherries on the nose, no longer quite so fresh; plenty of structure remains. Still, I think this is not going to improve much more. Terrific right now.

May 10, 2009 - Just getting to be really drinkable, despite the professional view that it should be drunk by 2007. Seems like too many reviewers underrate wines like this because they drink them way too early. I'll give my other bottle another 2 years. Good balance to this wine, medium bodied, raspberry and black fruit flavors predominate with a pretty whiff of cherry. Initially a bit hot on the nose but that went away quickly and the high alcohol never was overpowering on the palate. Very good mid-palate and it lasts on the tongue very nicely. I wish I had bought more.

June 24, 2006 - This vibrant wine is just delicious. Dark garnet in color. Light nose and light in body. While not terribly complex it has a warm, juicy, mouthfilling taste. Rich and fruity with enough aciidty to make it quite racy. Long finish. I am so sorry that I only had the one bottle and it is sold out at my source, as I expect it will continue to be lovely for several years to come.
