February 27, 2024 - plum, cherry, raspberry, fig, spices and flowers... big billowing nose, full and dense on the palate, gorgeous inner perfume of flowers and kirsch, ripe and long on the finish, still fresh and lively however, killer Cotes du Rhone...

July 19, 2023 - Big honkin' Cotes du Rhone but there's structure and freshness to spare, and it stays well in balance. Aromas of black raspberry, creme de cassis, fig jam, dried herbs, lavender, fennel, almond candy, a little black pepper, nori and cured meat... full and thick on the palate, layers of very ripe dark fruit, fine tannins, surprising lift and cut on the mid-palate. Finish is brighter than the approach, and there's beautiful floral and herbal qualities to accent the domineering very ripe fruit. This will be more interesting in a year or two, and maybe most interesting in 10+ years, if it stays in balance.
