Community Tasting Notes 1

December 8, 2007 - Did not decant. Deep purple color. Mild fruit and light spice in the nose. Tight beam of dark fruit on the palate with a only a little oak that allows the fruit to shine through. Lively acidity. Some tannins which are fairly well integrated but not whole lot of structure. The finish isn't terribly long or complex but its decent. Maybe a little young and could benefit from some more time in the bottle but I wouldn't let that stop me from drinking it. This is a decent house wine with a good QPR. Don't be put off by the 'spectator review - they are a bit off the mark on this one.
