October 26, 2023 - Hmm. Not sure about this one at the moment. Felt really disjointed and huge @ 15% (!)

January 15, 2023 - I preferred this beautiful young Brunello to the 2012 vintage, which I had just a few months ago. This is a really big and dense style for sure, and although the 2012 was delicious, I felt it had softened a little *too* much for my palate- here, the added tension and energy of a younger wine was just what the fruit needed. Tons of sun baked cherry, kirsch, all sorts of blacker-fruited baked goods, vanilla oak, plus a hefty dose of something earthy/savory in the background, woodsy truffles and leather. Really delicious and captivating, and the very high ABV feels integrated.
