March 16, 2024 - Wunderful wine from barbera grapes! For me is this wine better than bricco dell’uccellone because this one is for me a bit more structured.

January 21, 2023 - 2018 Barbera horizontal tasting. Don’t know enough about Barbera to really compare, but this wine was well balanced, nice fruit, structured and ready to drink. I really enjoyed it.

    June 10, 2022 - 15.5% vol
    Blood/ruby

Clearly a whack of oak here but seems to suit it. Some wild high notes, ripe and rich and red-centric. Very spicy wood and some vapour.

Very intense palate, on the full side of medium-bodied, some chew, plenty of wood, toast and spice. Well-integrated tannins, fine and sandy. Long and intense, red and orange notes, and more besides.
Crikey, lots of everything. Going to need some time, for the oak at least. These have been pretty full-on!

April 26, 2022 - Had next to Bricco dell'Uccellone 2018. This had more depth and weight, more dark fruit and lots of depth and density, beautiful silky tannins, very long finish. This is an excellent and well-balanced wine. Though it is approachable aleady, I'd give it 2-3 years of additional bottle age. - 93 points
