  February 16, 2019 - On the decline, but still showing well. Fruit has turned to a prune and plum character. Mushroom in the middle with a truffle note to the finish. I think this one had its narrow window where it showed decently well. But I think I missed that window. I tried this about an hour after it was decanted and I think the decanter killed this one.

  July 17, 2015 - Opened and immediate Oaked notes - still a lot of grape notes which was very surprising given the age of this "little red wine". Letting it breathe - distinct purple hue - really lovely color - wishing I had more of this...

  March 11, 2011 - not impressed when first opened. Decanted 30-45 minutes and got cranberry and toast on the nose and something green and some sour fruit on the palate. 1 hour in, got some maple syrup and about 2 hours in got some raspberry on the nose. The palate opened up and revealed cedar, cranberry and raspberry.
  
  poured about 1/2/ of the bottle back in, corked and put in the fridge for a few days while traveling. Really enjoyed the last of it with Mike when I got back. Got the same notes mentioned on the first night. Wish I had more of this....just a tasy little number!
