January 1, 2023 - I have stored this wine poorly. But even with this the wine held up. Smooth integrated tannins at this point . Long lingering finish. A testament to how a great wine can hold up to the elements

June 2, 2018 - First stop on our seventh day in Napa Valley is to the Round Pond Estate. Sixth wine up is their Cabernet Sauvignon Secret Garden from their Gravel Series. This vintage is made up of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and aged for 24 months in 100% new French oak.
Dark ruby red. Tons of dark spices and berries on the nose, aromas of black cherries, raspberries, cassis, anise and Asian five spice. Heavy tannins (8/10) with a full body. Explosive flavors on the palate with dark red berries, bark and gravel. Long finish. Needs a solid decant to open up nicely. Drink till 2033. (92+) -

June 2, 2018 - This had the best nose of the Gravel collection. Fruity red fruit nose. Christmas cake spices with cinnamon.
A touch of acidity and dryness in the finish
