March 27, 2021 - Nose says iether cellar stink or cork taint...palate says the latter. FLAW

September 19, 2018 - Lunch at Nicolas with Alex H (Nicolas Restaurant, Teck Lim Street, Singapore): This was a rather big and clumsy Burgundy. Decent enough to drink, but not great. It had a big, ripe nose, with lots of black cherries and dark berries, along with earth, herb and wood spice, along with a little dusting of florals. The palate had lots of density to it - almost Southern Rhone like in feel, with plenty of black cherries and blackberries and plums. It was only the clarity lent to the wine by its acidity and a fine 2005 structure that said Burgundy, otherwise I would have guessed Chateuneuf-du-Pape when served blind. Decent, but not great. This has put on weight over the last decade since I had a bottle, but not necessarily in a good way.

June 11, 2010 - Nose is bit muted but moutheel is very expressive showing flavor of cherries and good concentration. Oak is well integrated. At around $30, this is good buy, not good @ 70 that other stores charge.

August 31, 2008 - The Universal Wine Bar & Restaurant's Burgundy Wine Tasting (The Universal @ Duxton): Muted cherries. Dimmering palate that is a bit on the thin side. However, it did do a lot better with the lamb as the sweeter berries surfaced when paired with food.

August 21, 2008 - Impromptu Burgundy night (Duxton Hill, Singapore): Pleasant, well made wine, but I found this very unusual for a Pommard. Nose was pretty nice - iron, some dust and dusky cherries. More high-toned than Pommard usually is. Palate seemed a little muted, but still had lots of dark, slightly sour cherries and a hint of spice. A little simple, but this has good weight and nice balance with good freshness and a nice minerally finish. The strangely un-Pommard character comes out again with the soft, rounded mouthfeel and velvety tannins. Otherwise, a very decent wine.

(Mischief & Mayhem Pommard Le Clos Blanc) An impressively complex nose, interesting and high-toned. Ripe, intense and again ripe tannin. Plenty of red-fruited, dense concentration. Very good.
