January 21, 2024 - Walkaround tasting so just short notes: Red and dark berries, good acidity, the tannin is a little more sticky than the 2019. Try around 2027.

October 31, 2023 - young and very good now. ripe black & blue fruits

May 14, 2023 - Decant. Initial notes at 1/2 hour; consumed between 1 1/2 and 2 hours. Purple, slightly lighter at rim. Dark fruits on the nose. Dark fruits on the full bodied, low acid, slightly sweet (but not unpleasant) palate. With airing, cedar on the nose. Full bodied, concentrated sweet dark fruits. In short, this is a very good wine which, tasted blind, could be identified as a CA merlot. It is not. however. what I look for in Bordeaux. It is young, and perhaps with time more will develop. Still, quite decent and undoubtedly a crowd pleaser. (88-89). Addendum: 15 days later, stored in frig with vac-u-vin in a 1/2 bottle, still drinking well.
