  December 29, 2020 - Like the 04 I had recently, very impressed at this price point. Held up perfectly. Like the 04, its sort of like a dense pinot. Lots of dark fruit, nicely perfumed nose and a solid finish. Not overly acidic.

  July 20, 2018 - Sulfites on nose blow off an hour after opening, nose fairly tight. Palate full of fruit and substance and complexity. Excellent balance with spice and plenty of fruit but little sweetness from sugar although there is good ripeness. Great mid palate and excellent finishing length. Day two bacon fat and pepper emerge with no detectable oxidization. The real deal. This exceeded my expectations for the price. Bravo!

  September 13, 2014 - Very nice. Big Syrah. Nicely integrated. Chocolate was a flavor that was suggested.

  March 18, 2014 - Really enjoyable wine. Very peppery with a white pepper nose and balc pepper taste. Big, rich wine with great length on finish .

  November 14, 2013 - The nose is like walking by a farm with fields of recently fertilized tilled earth on a hot tarred road with the smell of blackberry bushes off in the distance catching your nose from time to time. Dive in and its blackberries & tar, cherry seeds, sage, underbrush, earth, slight dark cherries.
