March 14, 2022 - Tura Estate, Mountain Heights, Merlot, Samaria, 2018: Tura grows the grape for its iconic Merlot on Har Gerizim, also known as Har Bracha, located in the heart of the Shomron. It is a unique terroir, at 2,850 feet above sea level. The soil is rich in clay, and the high altitude provides frigid nights, along with a breeze coming from the Mediterranean sea. These combined conditions are ideal for Merlot. Deep cherry-red. The nose displays aroma of ripe, fresh raspberries and black cherries, tobacco leaves, toasted oak, and spices. Full-bodied, fleshy, with on the palate, juicy raspberries, cherries and plums, black pepper, earthy minerals, medium acidity, with hints of roasted herbs and spicy vanilla, as well as mouth-coating tannins on a long and generous finish. Mevushal. 14% Abv. Drink now-2025. 90
