Community Tasting Notes 5

July 18, 2010 - This is getting there. Today, it's pure with good mineral, white peach and limey tones that turn towards red grapefruit at the end. Acidity is wonderful and matches the sweet fruit perfect. Will get better.

May 22, 2009 - Dinner at Blu (Shangri-La, Singapore): Not the most complex of wines, but I thought this was very decent drinking. White flowers, ripe lemons, loads of mineral and sweeter tones of musky peach, apricot and banana(?) on the nose, along with flowery chamomile and lemongrass scents. Very promising. Sweet palate, rich, creamy, lots of mineral again, rather sticky almost Spat like, but with plenty of acidity. Very young I thought, with lots of primary fruit - apricots, peaches, banana, dried mangoes -but the essential balance was there. Decent finish as well.

January 22, 2009 - Somewhat muted on the nose, displaying honneysuckle and fresh citric notes. The palate is nice and mouth-coating, with good acidity to balance out the sweetness. Minerals appear on the mid palate and in the long finish. Drink from now until 2016.

April 21, 2008 - Fairly simple, citrus notes and apple dominates the palate. Need more time to integrate and to develop more interesting characteristics.

November 8, 2007 - Riesling (L'Atelier Michel Darque): Provado às cegas. Amostra n. 02. 12°. NM. Bastante seco. Inicialmente sutil, ganhou intensidade aromática com o tempo. Cítrico, mineral, leve querosene. Acidez deliciosa, boa fruta, fino, talvez o mais elegante da noite. 91-93pts. E/E.
