May 8, 2024 - Did not decant/open to get air. Absolutely ready to drink

January 23, 2024 - This was a restaurant purchase that was a pop and pour. I had this decanted for air and it really started to show after about 45 minutes. The glass quickly fills up with licorice-infused tones of dark red cherries, plums, raspberries, fresh herbs, violets, a touch of candied red fruits, currants, and some baking spices. The Medium bodied feel is balanced and silky with crisp, medium tannins and balanced, medium acidity. This could really benefit from at least 3+ years and likely closer to 5. This is clearly young, but it’s also lovely and speaks perfectly to the Hirsch and Sonoma Coast styles.

November 26, 2023 - Its allright this, but somehow its not on the same level it used to be. Good, but hard to justify the current price point.

June 17, 2023 - BTG at wine shop tasting; had a 2nd serving to get a better reading. On the open nose: fresh cherries, cherry candy, raspberries, other bright red fruit, mild baking spices. Palate is well balanced and echoes the nose, but isn't as bright as the nose. This is a delicate wine: very light-footed and easy drinking. Its fruit-forward and primary at this point with well integrated tannins leading to a medium finish that's great upfront and trails with fruit and chalky minerality. 90 now. *Hirsch Vineyards was founded in 1980 by David Hirsch on land he purchased just a couple years prior. *This San Andreas Fault bottling is a blend of many of their single vineyard sites.
