January 14, 2024 - Vintage ripeness is front-and-center, but nicely balanced with brightness and concentration. Particularly impressive weight and length for its level, this is an exceptional Bourgogne.

May 15, 2022 - This wine is just like Jean-Jacques Morel's silhouette, which is very French and a little unkept. Unmanicured. This is not traditional Bourgogne Blanc of crisp acid and peppered oak. This is Chardonnay in ripe and wild form. Free spirited and behind a nondescript label, there’s an aspect of ironic cool and I could see natural wine shops selling this for $50+ if only they knew Jean-Jacques ever existed.

Glowing unfiltered hay. Aromas of lemon curd and fresh bright pineapple with a hint of vanilla. There's VA but it works. Salty sour flavors of apricots and peaches with a persistent finish.
