Community Tasting Notes 9

October 28, 2012 - Better on day 2, so I think this juice still has a few more years of peak drinking. Sweet fragrant nose and pleasant brambly zin-like notes on the palate. Smooth, smooth, smooth. A touch simple, but a very nice effort...continue to be impressed with this producer.

December 12, 2011 - Inky purple color, sweet fragrant nose of an over-extracted wine, smooth on the palate with a medium finish. An above average table wine.

June 8, 2011 - Typical to the Joshua, this is a big juicy enjoyable drop. Brambly and jammy are definitly spot on - not for the long term but it was exactly what i was after. good stuff from a tough vintage.

December 24, 2010 - The nose is mostly animal, with leather and pepper. The palate is more interesting with blueberries at the forefront, with layers of game and pepper. A really nice, unoaked offering with plenty of tannins and acid on the backend. Will keep for a few more years.

August 12, 2009 - Decanted 1 hour. Lots of cherry aromas and flavors, with some earthy/bramble characteristics. A very nice wine, paired with spicy chili mac.
