Terroir n. m. (lat. terrioram): VILLERS-AUX NoEuDS premier cru, lieux dit «Le Mont-Benoit». Parcelle plantée en 1985. Sol majoritairement limoneux et présence de craie en profondeur, desherbé mécaniquement sans herbicides ni aucun apport d'engrais.
CĂ©page n. m. (plan de vigne): 100% Pinot Noir.
Vinification n. L. (Art de faire le vin): Fermentation alcoolique
sonote, Victon, pentente en et fact dechen notecte.
Passage au froid naturel.
Remuage n. m. (Art de rassembler les sédiments): 2 poignettages suivis de 6 semaines de remuage manuel sur pupitres.
Dosage n. m. (liqueur de sucre) : 3 grammes de sucre /litre.
Bouteille dégorgée le 12 janvier 2022, jour fruit, lune montante.

January 3, 2023 - NOT BRUT NATURE - this is Extra Brut. The first grower producer of the year is Gaspard Brochet. Champagne names are pouring in from all sides, but allocations are so miniscule, it's hard to drink something "on the regular". Gaspard is one of these producers with a brand so on point, it's hard to hoard all the wines that we receive. Grapes are grown from a small vineyard in Villers aux Noeuds, home to the remarkable Savart and Emmanuel Brochet among others. IYKYK!
All Pinot Noir with a 3 g/L dosage. Production of 1.596 bottles. For the fruit lovers, the yeasty boys, the acid freaks. An even split of apple cores, mealy pear, luscious cherries, crusty sourdough, lemon and oriental spice. Personality, complexity and layers to dissect. Aromas are expressive, making the transition to the palate smoooooth. In the mouth the wine is powerful, concentrated, long. A classic, broad-shouldered Blanc de Noirs. Definitely not a light and delicate Champagne by any means, but neither is this a big, heavy or too ripe effort either. Solid stuff, something for everyone. -

Skarp syra som Àr ihopsatt enligt konstens alla regler. Helt absurd!
VĂ€ldigt integrerad autolys pĂ„ nĂ€san kombinetat med tydliga pinot-toner. Svalodlade smultron och jordgubbar inlindade i otroligt fina bubblor. Ovan nĂ€mnd syra binder ihop sĂ€cken förtrĂ€ffligt. Ăr sĂ„ glad att jag fĂ„r smaka dessa viner!
