April 5, 2024 - Deep purple color -typical syrah. Nose is forward, of macerated black forest fruit, twigs and all. Some leather, and olive as well. Palate is soft on the fire. With good blackberry and black olive, and bay leaf. A good dose of leathery tannins, and a bit of green stemmminess add character.
Nice balance of acidity is appreciated. A tad hot. Very good. -

February 16, 2024 - Tasted blind. I found syrah as varietal relatively easily but was torn to ID new world vs old world, this was more prescient than I understood.
