Community Tasting Notes 20

April 1, 2024 - Light yellow. Lime and tropical fruit on the nose. Light, off dry, absolutely tingling acidity, stone, and a unique combination of racy citrus, yellow peach, and guava. I don't know how you could fail to be excited by this wine. Great Kabinett that will last for decades.

December 28, 2023 - Infanticide I know but really wanted to try one after the raving reviews here and everywhere.
No detailed notes from the Christmas dinner table but wow this is unique and nothing I have had before. Electrifying, pure and very intense. Ultimate interplay of sweetness and acidity in an unreal light footedness. This will morph into something special, very lucky to have some more!

October 29, 2023 - Needed an hour of air to really get going and flesh out, but whew. Intense green fruit -- green apple, lime, honeydew -- green herbs, excellent density, lots of silky extract, blazing acid, lovely grippy stoniness. You barely notice the sugar. Super length. Gisela is special stuff.

July 16, 2023 - Coravin. Vibrant, exceptionally complex, high acidity, plenty of citrus and stone fruits; long finish. Really a step above Falkenstein's already superlative lineup. 95

June 25, 2023 - Coravin. 8.5% alcohol. Yellow-green, similar to my last bottles with wonderful length, lemon-lime, crisp minerality throughout, exceptional balance, great depth. Overall tastes drier than expected for Kabinett, maybe more like a typical feinherb. 94
