A lot of wine for the money! A typical Bordeaux from a traditional family business with 100 hectares. Cabernets, Merlot and some Carmenere are grown. The 2019 has a clear and strong cherry red color in the glass. The nose is impressed by an intense scent of black and red currants, which also dominates the taste. Plus some forest herbs, hardly any wood. Light tannins provide a good structure and the wine probably has good aging potential. A little fruit acid keeps the tension alive. Even 24 hours later the wine is still stable and expressive. . The wine is rather slim in body, but has a strong taste. Overall, a balanced and very successful simple Bordeaux at an unbeatable price!

December 10, 2023 - Cassis and elderberry on the nose. Wrapped in sea-shell like and chalky minerality.

Linear and elegant but with richness on the palate. Grainy tannins. Feels light-feeted and cool and ending in a dry finish.

Give it a good decant. Superb value!

October 24, 2023 - Nice week night wine. I should have decanted because I think it was too young. May get a higher score if left in the cellar for a few years, but I'm not used to aging $15 wines.
