August 13, 2023 - Very intense wine, with quite some alcohol. Not what you would expect with Chablis, but if you treat this as a rich white Burgundy, it is quite nice. For me just a tad too much to give it a really high score.

December 11, 2022 - A private lunch with friends (at home): Second bottle from a half case purchased from the Dutch importer. Decanted and showing beautifully, if you can look past your preconceptions of what Chablis is or should be. More harmonious than I remember from the first bottle in June. The marriage of intensity and complexity with effortless finesse and lightness of being is quite remarkable.

August 2, 2022 - Slightly odd tiny effervescence on opening pour. Vaguely perceptible on the palate, but not a flaw. Background fruit on the nose like perry (not the platypus.) The palate is a compelling mix of sea spray, ripe pear, tonic and citrus. Texture is lighter than expected for the depth and richness. Very succulent. Not a typical Chablis, but carried the line to something both correct and different.

June 30, 2022 - Not a classical style of Chablis - at all. But as such it is an impressive wine, densely packed with flavour, with yeasty complexity from the long ageing on the lees, ripe pear and lemon, sea salt, warmth from the wood, lots of acidity and minerally energy, hint of bruised yellow apple. Excellent length.
