March 17, 2023 - ehhh we enjoyed it more at the winery.
I think it has a variety of minor faults (perhaps some brett, some va) that I normally don't mind unless they are overpowering, but there's not enough here to work well with them. It's not bad though with a little bit of time, just not what I want.
Happily will return to their orange field blend. -

March 2, 2023 - A sort of wine spritzer Syrah. Only 12% alcohol, light in body and light red in color, this is an unexpected Syrah. At dinner, three of 4 who sampled this wine liked it; the outlier found it "medicinal" in flavor. Solminer is an interesting Central Coast winery that does some unique experiments, especially with Austrian style wines. This is not one of their best innovations, but it may have a place among wines to sip at a picnic. Serve it medium cold.
