  January 27, 2013 - Not only this was no premoxed but this was very much alive. The oak is still showing a little bit both on the nose and palate but nothing annoying. Rich and full, lemon custard and spices with a hint of pear. Acidity is quite low considering the vintage. While this is a good wine and enjoyed it, I was expecting more depth and complexity.

  February 20, 2011 - Wow! Afterthe disappointment of the last bottle I was anxious to open another bottle to see if I should be cooking with all the 1996 White Burgundy in my cellar! Great news...this bottle was one of the best White Burgundies I have had in a long time. Golden in color. Complex aromas of tropical fruits, candle wax, white flowers, fino sherry and vanilla beans. Rich, oily fruit in the mouth with great complexity, depth and structure. The tongue-coating fruit was beautifully balance by great acidity that made the long, sweet finish both refreshing and lingering. A stunning bottle of Grand Cru Burgundyat its peak. Did I catch lightening in a bottle? I have one bottle left so stay tuned!
