December 27, 2022 - Fresh vibrant red fruits on the palate, drinking very nicely now, bright ruby red in colour, smooth on the palate!

September 18, 2022 - One of my favorite Pomerol labels. This is the last of six bottles purchased back in 2007 and stored since in a EuroCave wine refrigeration unit. This was enjoyed with Salisbury steak, and Brussels Sprouts and was not decanted given its age. At twenty-one years, this is about elegance, finesse, and class. Fully mature, but seems to exhibit enough fruit and structure to potentially drink well for another 1-2 years. Probably one of the better purchases made over the last fifteen years, sorry to see this last bottle go! 🙁. Still 94 points.

February 26, 2022 - My final bottle. A blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, 45 year old vines, 1/3 new oak. Pristine bottle, level into neck (<1cm below the cork), 13.5% ABV, opened four hours in advance, gently decanted two hours in advance. The wonderfully complex nose is quintessential Pomerol (truffle and earth, warm spices and red berries), open and expressive; the palate on the other hand is quite light, fresh and tight, distinctly tannic and drying, without any of the luxurious generosity which the nose presages; tart and drying palate. A modest Pomerol, but fine with chuck tender with green peppercorn sauce. Drink up.

November 15, 2021 - WOW nose of cedar, cèpes de Bordeaux, chocolate, roasted strawberries...Super delicious, refined, silky tannin, red berries, drying finish but in a nice way!!
