September 24, 2023 - Surpringly, this wine has gained depth and intensity. More pepper on nose and palate. Stewed raisins and Berkshire bacon add a whole other dimension to this wine. Served with a tomato based, fish stew.

February 17, 2023 - This Grenache had a brighter and lighter feel to it than many Rhone style wines coming out of Napa. I really enjoyed tasting this wine while looking out over their beautiful property. I will be curious to see how this wine ages over the next five years.

February 9, 2023 - Napa 2023: the quieter version; 2/6/2023-2/11/2023 (Napa/Sonoma California): Somehow I had completely forgotten about this wine but it seems we do have some in our cellar. Not widely released and I don’t think we have ever tried it before (although we did try the precursor 2012 Grenache from barrel back in the day and that wine was stunning). This is light and floral and enjoyable in style. Will be interesting to see how this goes over time. The Rhone varietal wines at Progreny are always some of my favorites but I sense that the demand far outstrips the supply of the grapes.
