February 17, 2024 - Fresh and well grown/crafted, with a good pocket of fruit and flavor that's supported by good, fresh acidity. Equal parts Mourvedre and Grenache with 24 hours of skin contact. A very gentle hand at work here and it's appreciated. Stood up nicely to some Piri-Piri chicken. 12,8% abv. Drink now. recommended

January 17, 2024 - I love this rosé for drinking in the fall and winter. It’s got a little more body than most rosés (or at least most of the ones in my cellar), so lends itself to cooler weather and stands up to broader range of dishes. Tonight, it was a nice companion to Thai-inspired chicken meatball soup.

February 7, 2023 - Pretty split on this one. Watermelon, strawberry, and beach vibes dominate. Well balanced but ultimately too tropical for me. Would be way better by the pool soaking in rays. There is some coconut element that I do not appreciate. Way better at cellar temp, fridge very not good.

January 11, 2023 - I continue to love this wine as our go-to rosé in the colder months, as it has more body than the rest of the rosés we buy (Bedrock, Scherrer, Bucklin, Dehlingee). It also has a beautiful, shimmering deep pink color that looks like a holiday in a glass and never fails to bring a smile.

July 2, 2022 - PnP, well-crafted balance of savory finesse, place and freshness. This has the stuffing to improve a bit from here (for my palate). I will drink my other two bottles before Jan'24. Very good partner to food.
From the winery: "50% Abba Vineyard Grenache / 50% Del Barba Vineyard Mourvèdre
50% Whole Cluster - 12.8% Alc. - 1,500 bottles produced
The intention of the Foot Tread Rose' is to rotate the vineyard source. In addition to being one of the most fun wines we make, it is an opportunity to experience such a playful expression in a variety of new and exciting flavors.
This years edition, is a take on a very classic rosé blend from the south of France and, no surprise, it works . . really, really well. 100% Whole cluster Old vine Mourvèdre and de-stemmed Abba Grenache were foot tread and left on the skins for 24 hours. Like previous vintages, the 2021 is explosively packed with flavor and energy and lives somewhere between rosé and super light red wine. It feels more focused than the 2020, and may very well be in the running for best vintage of this cuvée. "3 people found this helpful Comments (4)
