October 23, 2023 - Wow! If I had paid $70 for this and it said CdP on the label I would have been fat and happy, but for snagging this under $20 and it being outside the appellation is flabbergasting. What a wine.
Tons of floral notes mixed with ripe red berries on the nose, ripe strawberry’s, raspberry’s, plum, vanilla, spices all delivered on a blanket of silky smoothness on the palate. Clean cold ending even at room temperature speaks to the slightly lower alcohol level (14%) and the oak it matured in. -
