Community Tasting Notes 2

June 15, 2022 - This was quite reductive on day 1 and got a lot better sitting in the glass, so I put half of the bottle away for the next day.

It has an impressively complex nose of peach, wet stone, flint, and canteloupe. The 25% neutral oak makes itself known on the palate, where its soft mouthfeel balances out the puckering acidity. I love these kinds of sharp textural contrasts in wine, and I can barely put down my glass.

This is the best Chablis villages I've had in my limited experience with the region. I might go back to the shop to buy some more of this and pop one next summer to see how it handles some bottle age.

April 23, 2022 - A good wine to pair with a subtle dinner of grilled rainbow trout, this wine doesn't try to stand up and make itself known, it just goes easily alongside. Medium to full body, a touch of citrus, a hint of oak, a bit of something flowery.
