October 9, 2012 - Got better with time, but still showed too much heat throughout. Nice and dry though, and not overoaked. Was probably best upon release.

    October 24, 2011 - P&P
    color-deep purple
nose- cocoa and dk fruits(mostly crushed cherries)
palate- round, medium bodied, mild tannins, more cherry tones

    after 1 hour
nose- very expressive of sweet cherry and mocha
palate- more of the above but much more prominent and amped up

February 14, 2011 - Decanted two hours. Purple core with a maroon rim. Nice nose showing mocha dusted bing cherry. Not bad on the first sip while cooking. Some more dark cherry/mocha notes. Full bodied with some tannins. This absolutely did not play well with rack of lamb, squash and homemade pasta and tomato sauce. My sauce is pretty acidic, and this was pretty full bodied, so I figured, no big deal, not a match and we can enjoy the wine after dinner.

This really took a dive. The fruit disappeared, the alcohol really began to show through and the finish turned bitter. Only one other CT taster has experienced this, and they chose not to score the wine as others have enjoyed it and scored it higher. I'll follow suit and won't put an official score in, but I will add to the text that I wouldn't score it above 75 points.

October 2, 2009 - Bitter tannins. Sour finish. Just not an enjoyable wine. The initial nose was promising, but this was not very nice to drink. After tasting at this winery and my experience with this bottle, I have come to the conclusion that Sinskey's winemaking is quite underwhelming. 80-85 points, but I won't submit that score because it seems that other users have enjoyed this wine.
